A fifth person has died as a result of the NekNomination drinking game, as the viral internet dare continues despite warnings from health officials.
Police are investigating possible links between the sudden and unexplained death of a 29-year-old man in Cardiff and the NekNominate drinking game that continues to spread rapidly through social media.
Brent Lindeque from Johannesburg was recently “neknominated” by some friends, but instead of putting on a superman suit and downing a can of Castle lager, he highlights some of the troubles facing poor people in South Africa, before offering one man in need a sandwich, chocolate bar, and a coke to send him on his way with a full stomach.
The “neknomination” drinking game that has rapidly risen to popularity across Facebook and YouTube over the last two months has now claimed two lives.
