Royal Air Force jets have attacked two Islamic State (IS) targets in Iraq, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has identified the Islamic State (IS) militant dubbed “Jihadi John”, while British politicians discuss possible UK involvement in air strikes on Iraq.
A Canadian-born militant from the Islamic State has warned of a “brilliant attack” on New York, in an interview with VICE News.
In his closing address at the UN General Assembly, British Prime Minister David Cameron made a plea to other world leaders to unite against the threat posed by the jihadi militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
