Still from the Nick Clegg Says Sorry (The Autotune Remix) video on YouTube

Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats rapidly lost their new found popularity after going into coalition with the Conservatives to make up the current UK government after breaking various promises to the electorate. The most notable of his broken promises was over the rise in tuition fees, which he originally promised to always vote against before u-turning and voting for the tripling of fees.

Now the Deputy Prime Minister has made an apology to those who feel let down by him and his party, and Alex Ross and James Herring from satirical website The Poke have remixed and autotuned that apology with the result going viral on YouTube.

Nick Clegg has agreed to sell the autotuned remix as a charity single with all proceeds going to the Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield, where he is an MP, and a charity of which his wife, Miriam, is a patron.
