David Cameron has been comments that his favourite moment as Prime Minister was a visit to a brick factory in Accrington have been derided online.
Writing in the Sunday Telegraph, the prime minister claimed that restarting the factory’s kilns after seven years of laying dormant meant more to him than visits to see the Queen or Barack Obama.
He said:
“One of my favourite moments of the past five years was at a brick factory in Accrington…This isn’t just the story of one factory; it’s the story of our country over the past five years. Industries that were on the wane are being brought back to life….Bit by bit, brick by brick, we’re building a Great Britain truly worthy of the name”
Not everyone was convinced Cameron’s comments were insincere…
It was nice of the brick factory in Accrington to give David Cameron a souvenir of his visit. pic.twitter.com/H1t72fJMzX

In five years of Government one of @David_Cameron's favourite moments was in a brick factory photo op a month ago. Seems legit.

It would be very easy for one's finger to slip from 'b' all the way up the keyboard to 'p' when talking about David Cameron and bricks.
