The US Midwest has faced an unusually high number of tornadoes this month, with 81 twisters hitting Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio over the last three weeks, with videos emerging showing the destruction.
The sheer power of the tornadoes can be seen in the video above from the security camera of a Dairy Queen in Diamond, Illinois on 17th November, showing a house being completely blown away in a matter of seconds.
In another video, a man films a tornado approaching his house before finding a safe spot within his home with his daughter and dog as the storm goes overhead. After going black for a few seconds, you then see the damage caused to the man’s house and the utter destruction of his street in Washington Illinois.
