A video appears to show some form of unidentified flying object (UFO) flying at great speed towards Mexico’s Popocatepetl volcano,before slowing and turning to fly directly into the smouldering volcano.
The video was recorded on May 30th at around 8:30pm local time, with the volcano, which is only 40 miles south of Mexico City, under constant surveillance due to people claiming to see strange happenings there. This video comes just a few months after another video reportedly showed a “cigar-shaped” UFO fly into the volcano was dismissed as a likely fake.
Is the Video a Fake?
The UFO may appear to be flying at high speed, but in reality the video is shot as time-lapse footage with a very slow frame rate. IAs such, if played in real-time, the craft may be travelling at a speed more like a modern aircraft.
Similarly, whilst it appears from the angle the video is shot from that the craft slowed to turn directly into the volcano, it is more likely that an aeroplane is simply turning and then flies off into the distance, the downward angle simply an illusion of perspective and the earth’s spherical nature.
Not a fake then, but most likely just a commercial aircraft…
