The Ministry of Decence (MoD) have published the recently declassified UFO files at the National Archives, but anyone looking for a secret government conspiracy may be disappointed.
The 25 files published detail reports of “alien abductions”, sightings of UFOs, and offers from the public to develop new technology to target UFOs in the sky.
The lack of any real evidence, however, meant that then-Defence Minister Bob Ainsworth wrote a memo in November 2009 saying that the RAF’s UFO programme was a waste of money due to their being no evidence of a “military threat to the UK”.
