London 2012: Google's Olympic Doodles

For all its controversies with sponsorship and censorship, the Olympics is still the greatest show on earth and for a couple of weeks every four years the entire world is transfixed on watching their countrymen compete against the best in the world often at sports they’d often never heard of.

To celebrate this centre of the world’s attention, Google is coming up with daily “doodles” of an event being competed that day. We’ll update this post throughout the Games, but here are the doodles so far:
