A giant squid has washed up on a beach in Spain measuring around 9m in length and weighing around 180kg.
The rare beast washed up at La Arena beach in Cantabria, northern Spain, on 1st October, and according to El Diario Montanes is an example of Architeuthis dux, the largest invertebrate on Earth.
