British comedic duo Flo & Joan have recorded an ode to the last 12 months, a period of death and civil destruction, in the best way they know how – with very NSFW language.
This year has been a tough one for everyone from music lovers, with the deaths of David Bowie, Prince and Leonard Cohen, comedy fans, with the deaths of Victoria Wood and Ronnie Corbett, and everyone in between, with the death of civil discourse in Brexit and Donald Trump and the end of Bake Off.
Comedian John Oliver made clear his thoughts on the year by ending the latest series of Last Week Tonight with a big “F*ck 2016” finale, and now Flo & Joan have bettered that with their own music video of “frustration, shock, anger, and bewilderment” with a catchy tune. And it’s gone viral with more than two million views in two days.
