Most runs that you find of mapping services such as Nike+ are laps of parks or along rivers with pretty views, but San Franciscan Claire Wyckoff has decided that the routes could be a lot more interesting/provocative.
Wyckoff uses the city of San Francisco as a blank canvass, and makes sketches with her routes using the latest in satellite tracking technology, which she then posts to her Running Drawing blog.
One of the routes look like a Space Invader, another a raised middle finger, but most reflect that most basic of sketches – the phallus. She draws penises of all shapes, sizes – she’s an equal opportunities penis sketcher.
Jezebel has even gone so far as called Wyckoff an “American hero”.
