A female army cadet is suing the Australian Department of Defence after another army cadet filmed himself having sex with her an streamed it live to six fellow cadets in another room via Skype.
The woman, known as “Kate”, claims that the Department of Defence had not adequately supported her through her hellish ordeal in March 2011, telling Australian Network 10 television:
“It is very reluctantly that I’ve decided to take legal action, ut at the end of the day I’m being discharged from Defence with very little support and financial assistance to set myself up.”
She is claiming for sexual harassment over the incident itself and also alleging that she was victimised afterwards with a culture of sex discrimination within the Department of Defence.
Two 21-year-old men, Daniel McDonald and Dylan Deblaquiere, were given year-long behaviour bonds in October for their involvement in the incident. The pair were also found to be guilty of using a carriage service in an offensive manner, and McDonald guilty of committing an act of indecency by the ACT supreme court.

She was sacked and they got behavior bonds. Puzzling. Obviously do not know any details but it sounds like she has a good case. Good luck Kate
