An artist has spent hours carving some of football’s most famous faces out of Brazil nuts to celebrate the upcoming World Cup.

Micro-artist Quentin Devine has carved portraits of David Beckham, Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker, Paul Gascoigne and Wayne Rooney in preparation for the World Cup in Brazil and the launch of television show England’s Top 19 Footy Heroes, which will be broadcast on Dave on 20 May.

Each carving took Devine around 96 hours and measures around 1.5cm by 2cm.
