Penelope Cruz has been named the Sexiest Woman Alive 2014 by Esquire magazine.
The Spanish actress takes the crown from last year’s winner Scarlett Johansson and follows the likes of Angelina Jolie, Mila Kunis, and Rihanna to become the 11th woman to receive the honour.
In an interview with the men’s magazine, the 40-year-old brunette said that her interest in drama has waned as she aged, and remained coy about her private life and marriage to Javier Bardem.
Cruz will can next be seen on the big screen in Spanish movie Ma Ma, before starring alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in the upcoming comedy Grimsby about undercover spies embedded with English football hooligans.
The November issue of Esquire, starring Penelope Cruz, will hit news stands on 21 October.
