Pep band make their way through the crowd
The decline of Detroit has been well documented over the last few decades or so as America’s once thriving car industry has slumped, losing market-share to foreign imports from the likes of Germany and Japan. With the decline of this industry came the decay of the city as unemployment and crime have risen and people have moved away in their droves.
Capturing the sense of what was once a thriving centre of American industry, and now has fallen into decay is Detroiturbex which places a photograph from a Detroit school from its heyday within its current surroundings.
