Londoners were a little confused today by the sight of a huge 50ft rubber duck floating down the Thames, as it made its way from the Isle of Dogs, past Canary Wharf to London Bridge and back again.
The bright yellow duck apparently weights half a tonne and took 800 man-hours to build, but it put a smile on many Londoners’ faces on this cold winter day. And that was the aim, with the duck publicising a new £250,000 bursary from gambling website JackpotJoy that is designed to encourage people in the UK to “have more fun”.
