A poster for Rihanna’s Rogue perfume cannot be displayed in areas where children are likely to see it as it is too “sexually suggestive”, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ruled.

The poster shows the pop star sitting nearly naked on the floor with her legs up against a bottle of her Rogue perfume.

The ASA accepted Parlux Fragrances’ claims that the image showed Rihanna with an expression of “defiance rather than vulnerability”, but considered Rohanna’s “naked” pose with her legs in the air provocative and sexually suggestive.

They concluded that the ad “should have been given a placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being seen by children.”
