I love it when a band we’ve called a “band to watch” on these very pages, and they go on to prove us so completely and utterly right. One such band is Torches, who’s “dark and atmospheric gloom-pop” had me all a fluster back in February, and since then they have only gone on to release one phenomenal single after another.
Here, again, they are back with the double A-sides of Someone Needs A Ritual / Wolves which will be released on November 5th on Heart Throb Records.
Someone Needs a Ritual is driving, powerful and foot-tapping pop-noir, whilst Wolves is more sinister, more cinematic, and more thunderously beautiful than those that came before.
