Raunchy popstar Ke$ha has had her upcoming gig in Malaysia cancelled due to a “culture clash”.
The US artist claims that authorities in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur refused her permission to perform at Stadium Negara on Saturday because of cultural sensitivities over her provocative and sexual lyrics and dance moves in the Muslim-majority country.
The singer announced the bad news on Twitter, saying:
to be clear. I did NOT cancel. I was not allowed to play. and then I was going to play anyways and was threatened with imprisonment.

Whilst the concert organiser Livescape applied for permission for the concert on September 10th, Al Arabiya are reporting that they only received the refusal on Friday, along with two back-dated letters.
