Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s a life-size remote controlled flying Superman.
Designer and engineer Otto Dieffenbach, from southern California, has designed a created a number of “flying robots” looking like the most popular comic book heroes including the Man of Steel and iron Man.
The robots are made of lightweight styrofoam and can reach up to 30mp/h and were originally designed for promotions – a better advertisement in the sky than any banner being dragged behind an aeroplane. They can be built in almost any shape, but it is the superheroes that really get the attention.
