A Spanish dog breeder was shocked to find two puppies being born with green fur.

Aida Vallelado Molina, 27, could not believe her eyes when she saw the two fluorescent green puppies, which she ironically nicknamed “Hulk pups” as they were weaker than the rest of the litter.

She originally thought the puppies were just dirty, but as she told local newspaper Laguna Dia:

“As hard as I tried to scrub them, the colour would not come off.”

The male and female green pair were born on 3 June in the northern Spanish town of Laguna de Duero, but the female died shortly after birth for currently unknown reasons. However, the male is healthy and is now gradually losing his spectacular colour.
