HTC One Mini

A High court judge has blocked the sale of the HTC One Mini in the UK after finding that it infringes on patents held by competitor Nokia.

Judge Richard Arnold ruled that the sales ban would begin on Friday 6th December, but decided not to also ban the flagship HTC One as that would cause “considerable” damage to HTC, which plans to appeal. HTC claimed that the patents were too small and insignificant to result in a sales ban, but the judge disagreed.

If HTC fails in its appeal and does not work out a license agreement for the patents with Nokia, then HTC risks having the HTC One banned from sale as well in the near future.
