A New York doctor has tested positive for Ebola after returning from working in the West African country of Guinea.
Ban Ki-moon has launched an urgent appeal for funds to help fight Ebola, after a United National drive for donations reached just 0.01% of its goal in its first month.
Ebola is one of the world’s most deadly diseases, and West African states are struggling to contain the most recent outbreak that has killed 729 people since March.
Guinea has confirmed that 59 people have died in an outbreak of Ebola, with authorities concerned that the disease may have spread to neighbouring Sierra Leone.
