Two UN consultants have been shot and killed shortly after getting off a plane in Somalia.
A Norwegian citizen suspected to have helped plan and carry out the terror attack in Nairobi’s Westgate mall as been named as Hassan Abdi Dhuhulow.
The Westgate mall terror attack will have provided a boost in publicity and probably a brief uptick in foreign recruits and jihadi financing for al-Shabab, but it does not improve al-Shabaab’s long-term military situation in Somalia nor does it win the support of significant numbers of Somalis, who just want an end to conflict.
