After delaying his jump for five days due to adverse weather conditions, Felix Baumgartner today attempts to break the world record for the highest freefall skydive by jumping from a height of 120,000 feet / 36,576 metres and breaking the sound barrier (about 690mph / 1,110 kph) in doing so.
