The shocking moment a toddler fell from the second floor of a building and was caught by a man waiting below has been caught on video.

CCTV footage shows a one-year-old baby falling into the arms of a street seller below in Zhongshan city, Guangdong province, in southern China.

Mr Li reportedly saw the baby on the window ledge and rushed to bottom of the housing complex, where he waited with other men in case the baby fell. Others laid down cardboard and a sofa to break the child’s fall if they were unable to catch the youngster.

Following Li’s heroism, the child was quickly taken back by his mother.
