Darth Nikolayevich Vader is running in the elections to become mayor of Kiev in the electiosn scheduled for 25 May.

Vader is standing for the Internet Party of Ukraine, and aims to fight bureaucracy in state institutions under the slogan:

“Darth Vader – a candidate with a human face!”

The Sith Lord, whose real name is kept secret by party members, has already tried to run for president of Ukraine, but officials blocked him from registering as an candidate.

The upcoming elections follow the ouster of pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych and the subsequent turmoil in Ukraine, where a number of separatist factions are pushing for the east of county to follow Crimea and join the Russian Federation.
