Shadow Dancers Attraction from Hungary won ITV’s talent show Britain’s Got Talent last night, but the most memorable moment of the night was not from them, but from outspoken celebrity judge Simon Cowell being pelted with eggs.

Cowell congratulated Shadow Dancers Attraction for winning the public vote after performing to a British-theme telling the story of Britain from WWII to the 2012 Olympics, including Land of Hope and Glory and the voice of ex-PM Winston Churchill. The judge said:

“It just shows that this country welcomes people from all over the world and they loved this act.”

Tearful judge Amanda Holden said:

“You couldn’t have done a better performance…You’ve embraced Britain and we embrace you back!”

Their whole performance, however, was overshadowed by an irate former contestant, 30-year old Natalie Holt, who was playing viola in the orchestra during Richard and Adam Johnson’s performance during the show. She pelted Simon Cowell with eggs with a broad grin on her face as the duo carried on with their performance. She was later escorted off stage by security.

Having mentioned previously that he didn’t like eggs, Simon Cowell joked:

“I really don’t like eggs now”
