A video clip has surfaced online of doctors using forceps to remove a mobile phone that was stuck in a man’s mouth in South Africa.

The footage shows doctors and nurses giggling and taking photographs of an unidentified man lying on sedated on a hospital bed in Klerksdorp, northern South Africa.

The medical staff use a suction tube to remove the saliva in the man’s mouth, so that a doctor could grab the phone from deep within the man’s mouth with metal forceps and remove the gadget from his mouth.

It is not clear how the phone got stuck in the man’s mouth.

The video clip was originally uploaded by YouTube user Edwin Shingo in 2012, but has recently resurfaced online on alternative video streaming website LiveLeak.
