A kitesurfer has been attacked by a shark near Delray Beach, Florida.
Kurt Hoffman was bitten when he briefly fell into the water near Delray Beach, before pulling himself back onto his board and warning his friends in the water.
He suffered more than a dozen jagged puncture wounds on his left arm according to Florida news station Local10, and needed hospital attention, although his wounds were not life-threatening.
It is not known what species of shark bit Hoffman, but authorities are investigating the attack and warning swimmers and kitesurfers about the dangers in the water.
