A woman dubbed the “Craigslist killer” after murdering a man with her husband that she had met on Craigslist, has admitted to murdering at least 20 more people.
Miranda Barbour, 19, told the Pennsylvania’s The Daily Item newspaper in a prison interview that she killed these people as part of a Satanic cult, saying:
“When I hit 22, I stopped counting”
Offering more details on the murder of Troy LaFerrara, 42, with whom she had agreed to have sex for $100 on Craigslist, she said:
“He said the wrong things and then things got out of control…I can tell you he was not supposed to be stabbed. My husband was just supposed to strangle him.”
She went on to say that she told LaFerrara that she had just turned 16, and if he had refused to have sex with her at that moment then she and her husband, Elytte Barbour, 22, would not have killed him.
She said that LaFerrara’s murder to Elytte’s first, but that she was first involved in a murder at just 13 after joining a Satanic cult in Alaska, where she joined the cult’s leader in shooting someone who owed him a debt.
The majority of the murders Barbour claims to have committed are in Alaska, but some were also in texas, North Carolina, and California, with Barbour saying that she could “pinpoint on a map where you can find them”
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for both Miranda and Elytte Barbour for the murder of Troy LaFerrara.
