A Mozambique Airlines (LAM) plane crashed in a Namibian national park, killing all 34 people on board.
The wreckage of the LAM plane was discovered in Bwabwata National Park, near Namibia’s borders with Angola and Botswana, with Reuters quoting Namibia Police Force deputy commissioner Willy Bampton as saying:
“The plane has been completely burnt to ashes and there are no survivors”
Flight TM470 left Maputo, Mozambique at 11:26 on Friday, but lost contact with the ground as it flew over northern Namibia, with rescuers finding the wreckage in the forests of Bwabwata National Park.
