Two people have been killed after a van drove into people sitting outside a popular restaurant in the Germany city of Muenster.
A further 20 people are reported to have been injured, with six said to be in a serious condition, in the incident outside the Grosser Kiepenkerl restaurant in the city’s historic old town.
The driver of the van shot himself and died at the scene. Police say they have not yet established the identity of the driver, but they are not looking for more suspects.
Police spokesman Andreas Bode said it was too early to declare the incident an attack.
Authorities have closed the area and asked people to avoid the city centre while investigators examine the scene.
