Two people have been killed and a third seriously injured in a knife attack at an Ikea store in the Swedish city of Vasteras, about 70 miles (115km) west of Stockholm.
Police were called to the Ikea store in the Erikslund shopping centre at around 13:00 (11:00 GMT), after reports of a stabbing incident in the kitchen accessory section.
Several ambulances attended the scene, but two shoppers, a man and a woman, died of their wounds and a third remains in hospital undergoing emergency surgery.
A man had been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the attack.
Ikea spokeswoman Anna Pilkrona-Godden said that the company’s “thoughts are with those affected”.
