Police are hunting the girlfriend of a 53-year old British sailor whose body was found in a burnt-out life raft after his yacht, Asante, was destroyed in a fire in the Caribbean.
The body of John Edward Garner was discovered by coastguards near St. Vincent, with injuries sustained to his head and legs.
Caribbean police are now searching for his girlfriend, Heidi Hukkelaas, as part of a murder investigation according to the Jamaican Observer.
Hukkelas’ whereabouts is currently unknown, although she has not left the Caribbean by sea or air ports.
