A passenger plane carrying 49 passengers and crew made an emergency landing on Friday evening with no front wheels.
There were no reported injuries from the incident where the Avianca Airlines Fokker 100 jet was forced to make an emergency landing after its landing gear failed to deploy at an airport in Brasilia, Brazil.
The pilot managed to safely land the plane on just its rear wheels, with the nose only touching the runway, which emergency teams had coated in foam to avoid a fire, as the plane slowed down to a stop.

Picture is of an A320, not a Fokker 100 though
Thank you for your message. We had just used an Avianca stock aircraft image, but you’re right – we’ve now updated the image to show a Fokker 100.
