A man has died in hospital after being trampled by cows in a field in Derbyshire.
Peter Jakeman, 62, was walking his dogs in a field in Ashbourne when he was trampled by stampeding cows at around 09:00 on Wednesday.
An Air Ambulance was on the scene to evacuate Jakeman to University Hospital of North Staffordshire and to help treat him for blood loss and chest injuries. He died in hospital later that morning.
The police are not treating his death as suspicious.
