Former BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has admitted to indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 16 ahead of his trial today, but denies all other sex allegations against him.
Hall, 84, is to face trial at Preston Crown Court for 15 charges of rape and five charges of indecent assault against two girls between 1976 and 1981.
The broadcaster is accused of seven counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault against one girl in Manchester between 1976 and 1978, including raping her five times before she turned 16.
The ex-BBC presenter is also accused of eight counts of rape and three counts of indecent assault against a second victim between 1976 and 1981 at a variety of locations. The victim alleges that one of these rapes occurred when she was under the age of 13.
