The mother of three-year-old Mikaeel Kular has appeared in court and been charged with the murder of her son.
Rosdeep Kular, 33, was charged under her married name of Adekoya, and is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice
She made no declaration or plea during the private hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court and has been remanded in custody.
Mikaeel was reported missing from his family home in Edinburgh on Thursday morning, and after an extensive search by police officers and more than 200 volunteers from the local community, his body was found in nearby Kircaldy, Fife late on Friday.
