A knife-wielding man as been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder a police officer in London.
Officers from the Metropolitan police used a taser to subdue the man in Battersea, south-west London at just after midday today.
The police were called to Falcon Road in Battersea, near Clapham Junction rail station, after reports of a man threatening members of the public with a knife. The man then reportedly threatened police officers before he was tasered and taken into custody.
A police officer received minor injuries from the incident but did not need hospital treatment.
A number of knives were recovered from the scene.

been there, seen it, watched it off the bus, thought it was ridiculous. 20 policeman chasing 1 idiot for 20 minutes instead of shooting him in his leg to stop him
Seems to need 20 tasers for one lunatic? I can now see why the Met need 2,000 more officers on the streets. Some time/motion personnel wouldn’t seem to go amiss I think.
