The killers of Fusilier Lee Rigby have been sentenced at the Old Bailey in London.
Michael Adebolajo, 29, was given a whole-life term and Michael Adebowale, 22, has been jailed for a minimum of 45 years for their “barbaric” attack on the young soldier in May last year.
The pair drove directly into Rigby on the streets of Woolwich on 22nd May 2013, before dragging him into the road and hacking at his body with knives and attempting to cut off his head with a meat cleaver.
The convicted murderers were absent during their sentencing after they started shouting and causing a fray in the dock, with security guards wrestling them to the ground and removing them from court.
