Eight men have been found guilty of sexually abusing three girls in Rotherham between 1999 and 2003.

After a five week trial, the jury at Sheffield Crown Court found Sageer Hussain, Mohammed Whied, Ishtiaq Khaliq, Waleed Ali, Asif Ali, Masoued Malik, Basharat Hussain and Naeem Rafiq guilty of 16 charges of child abuse against the girls.

The men, who are aged between 30 and 40 years old, were found guilty of crimes including rape, indecent assault, conspiracy to commit rape, aiding and abetting rape, and false imprisonment.

The men were remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 4 November.
