Police believe the body found near a Burger King in Leicester Square, London, is of missing teen Patrick Halpin.
Haplin, 18, disappeared on Wednesday after saying he was going to Burger King during a night of revelry at nearby Zoo Bar.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said:
“Though formal identification has not taken place we believe that the deceased is Patrick Halpin, 18 from Ireland. Next of kin have been informed.”
Haplin was in London on a drama trip from Dublin City University, and had been in the UK for less than 24 hours when he vanished on Wednesday night.
