Police have seized a family’s three-year-old pet Alaskan Malamute dog after it reportedly mauled their six-day-old daughter to death on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to a property in Pontyberem, Carmarthenshire shortly after 08:25 on Tuesday morning after a dog reportedly milled six-day-old Eliza-Mae Mullane, only three days after she was brought home by her parents from the intensive care unit at hospital.
The Alaskan Malamute is not a banned breed in the UK, and the breed is not known for aggression.
