Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are making their last pitches to voters as voters go to the poll to the next President of the United States of America.
Polls opened at 06:00 (11:00 GMT) on the East Coast and results are expected to come in around midnight (05:00 GMT on Wednesday), once polls close on the West Coast.
Trump and Clinton have spent the last week criss-crossing the US, focusing their efforts on key battleground states such as Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina, where the polls remained close throughout the race.
After the final pre-election polls, statistician Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gives Hillary Clinton a 71.6% chance of winning the presidency with 48.5% of the vote.
