At least 20 people, including many schoolchildren, have been killed in air strikes on a village in the north-western Idlib province of Syria.
Syrian state media said the raids had killed many “terrorists” in the village of Haas, but independent search and rescue group the White Helmets said the strikes targeted “a complex of three schools“.
UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 22 people were killed in the blasts, including 14 children and a teacher.
Local activists blamed Russia for the attack, and a video has emerged online (above) that appears to show the impact of a bomb on the school complex.
The air strikes on Haas come amid a moratorium on the aerial bombardment of the rebel-held eastern part of Aleppo by Russia and the Syrian regime.
