The murder of Tupac Shakur officially remains an unsolved mystery by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, but one former officer has revealed the rap star’s final dying words.
Chris Carroll was one of the first police officers on the scene of the drive-bay attack on the BMW carrying Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight, former chief executive of Death Row Records, on 7 September 1996
Speaking for the first time publicly about the incident to Vegas Seven magazine, Carroll described pulling the rapper from the car, who went from fighting for his life to giving up, saying “I can’t do it!”.
Seeing he was in his final moments, the officer asked Shakur “Who shot you?”, to which the bad boy rapper replied:
“F**k you!”
