Juveniles - Juveniles EP

I was lucky to catch Juveniles on their short “Oui Love” French disco tour of the UK with another favourite band of mine, Jupiter. My public response to the night was, and I quote, “I FUCKING LOVE DISCO” – so that should clear up my thoughts on the subject when seeing such bands live.

Juveniles have also just released an eponymous EP, so even those that didn’t brave the cold to catch them live can get their groove on. And they should.

The EP starts with the perfect 80s-infused disco groove that is Through The Night, but Juveniles are more than just that. Blackout has much more of a indie/new-wave feel to it, but never looses that vein of foot-tapping goodness that runs through the record.

It’s not all new stuff either, with the lazy sexual swagger that is We Are Young also getting a wider release. Throw in some pretty special Breton and Yuksek remixes of this as well, and you’ve got an EP that you can delve into for any party.
