170 of the finest music industry tastemakers, including DJs, critics, broadcaster, and bloggers to choose who they think will be breaking into the mainstream next year for the BBC Sound of 2014 poll.
Each panellist was asked for their three favourite acts, with this list of the top 15 aggregated from those choices which is made up of ten acts from the UK. The top 5 will be announced in a countdown from Monday 6th January.
The BBC Sound of… list was started in 2003, and has a strong pedigree of predicting acts that have later gone on to become successful on the national and international stage. Past winners include Adele, Ellie Goulding, and Jessie J, with LA pop band HAIM taking the top spot last year.
