Copenhagen’s Noma has regained its crown of the finest restaurant in the world, after losing the title to SPain’s Celler de Can Roca last year.

René Redzepi’s restaurant had won three years in a row before 2013’s defeat, but his restaurant was once again awarded the top prize at a ceremony this evening at London’s Guildhall. As he accepted the award, the chef said simply:

“Guys, we did it!”

The awards for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants have been run since 2002, and are organised by the London-based restaurant magazine. Over 900 chefs and food writers vote in the awards, with a victory bringing international attention to the restaurant as well as huge numbers of booking as people around the world try and taste the best food available.
